Paleo Applesauce Brownies


These ended up being the perfect midnight snack for me this week, meaning I have found myself waking up at 2 am to pull one out of the freezer and inhale it. Ingredients: •3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce •1/2 cup coconut flour (add more if needed to keep brownie texture firm) •1/2 cup coconut or brown sugar •2 tablespoons almond butter Optional: 1 tbs of cinnamon to sprinkle on top and/or 1 tbs of cocoa powder to add in mixture Directions: 1️. Line a small baking tray with baking paper and set aside. 2️. In a mixing bowl, combine your coconut flour and coconut palm sugar and mix well. 3️. Add your applesauce, almond/peanut butter, and optional cocoa powder, then mix until a very thick batter is formed. 4️. Transfer the batter to the lined baking tray, top with extra cinnamon and sugar and refrigerate for an hour or so, until it has firmed up slightly. 5️. Cut into 6 brownie-sized pieces, top with cinnamon if desired, and eat or freeze for later! *taste best frozen* Makes 6 servings Macros per serving: 158 calories (4g fat, 2.3g protein, 29.9g carbs)
