Oreo Protein Waffles

I literally feel like donkey from Shrek every time my guy comes over: “We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning… I'm making waffles!” But seriously, who doesn’t love some fluffy waffles that not only taste like dessert, but have enough protein to keep you full long after! Ingredients: •20 grams Hershey’s dark cocoa powder •1 cup “Heart Health” Bisquick mix •4 scoops Milk Chocolate or German Chocolate Level-1 •1 tsp baking powder •1 tbs splenda •1 1/3 cup almond milk •1 egg •2 tbs olive oil Directions: 1️. In a bowl, mix together the Bisquick, cocoa powder, protein powder, and baking powder till well-combined. 2️. In another bowl, whisk your egg, olive oil, and splenda, then add your egg mixture into the bowl with your dry ingredients and mix it up till well-combined. 3️. Slowly add your milk in a little bit at a time (slow is key) and continue mixing until you have yourself a nice batter. 4️. Fire up your waffle iron to medium heat, then when ready, spray your waffle iron with cooking spray and add the batter in. 5️. While waffles are cooking, mix together 1/2 scoop of protein powder and a splash of almond milk for icing consistency to pour on top of finished waffles! Optional: Top with crushed Oreo thins and Walden Farms brand maple syrup 😋 Makes 4 servings (2 waffle “squares”) Macros per serving: ~356 calories (29.3g protein, 14.8g fat, 29.8g carbs)
